Timothée Chalamet is the gift that keeps on giving. In addition to the upcoming Little Women reboot (and his puppet finding a home on The Tonight Show) the Call Me by Your Name star is also set to appear in David Mich?d’s The King, which will make its premiere at the 2019 Venice Film Festival at the end of August. Today the first promo still for the film was released—and the internet is already collectively losing its mind.
Backed by Netflix, the new feature is an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Henry IV, Part 1, Henry IV, Part 2, and Henry V. Chalamet plays Henry V, who, after becoming king following his father’s death, must navigate the politics and drama that come with claiming the throne.
But it’s the still that’s worth a thousand tweets. In the shot Chalamet rocks a Shakespearean bowl cut that has some fans feeling somewhat confused. “Someone has to say it...Timothée Chalamet bowl cut low-key hot?,” pondered one user. Many fans are simply replying, “My king.” Others aren’t so keen on Chalamet’s regal new look, making reference to a hilarious Fleabag episode consisting of one terrible pencil-looking haircut. Below, more of the funniest reactions.
