This weekend, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas wed (for the second time) in Provence. It was an affair filled with famous faces: Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, Maisie Williams, and, after he went viral on Twitter, the couple’s dog, Porky Basquiat.
The reception, according to multiple reports, was held at Chateau de Tourreau, just outside the town of Sarrians. The grand home dates back to the 18th century. The interiors are adorned with Provencal furniture and art, as well as gilded mirrors and chandeliers. One resplendent room is aglow in warm yellow paint, with ornate wood wall carvings trimmed in green. A statue of a sleek greyhound sits on one table, and French doors open up onto the expansive grounds.
The seventeen-acre property includes a courtyard with bubbling fountains, a garden, a scenic pool with its own al fresco dining area. Oh, and there’s even a chapel.
Although the home is historic, the amenities are modern. There’s a helipad, a movie theater, and tennis, basketball, volleyball, and squash courts. All in all, the chateau can hold 14 guests, and if you rent the nearby five-bedroom farmhouse, an additional 17.
And when you stay there, you can partake in a set of lavish services, like a personal chef (with his own assistant!), a butler, and housekeeping. Every morning, a delectable European breakfast is served: fresh bread, croissants, hard boiled eggs, jam, fresh fruit, tea, coffee, and chocolate.
It’s not just available for stars like Turner and Jonas: Chateau de Torreau is one of the properties available on Airbnb Luxe, Airbnb’s new, over-the-top luxury tier that launched in late June. Right now, the home costs over $7,400 a night.
